Is MLM legal or illegal?

MLM is perfectly legal. Amway is perhaps the best example of how successful it can be. It only becomes illegal when there's no product being sold. Ponzi schemes are an illegal MLM because nothing is really being sold. You get paid for recruiting other people into the scheme.
