in an automatic transmission, the gear changing is done,, ( you guessed it ! ) automatically. In a Manual you have to change the gear yourself. On the gearshift lever or as we call it in the UK the gear stick, there is a small diagram on the top of the stick. You select first or 1 by pushing the clutch pedal to the floor.and moving the stick left and forward.To make the car move you slowly lift your pressure on the clutch pedal until you feel the car trying to move, as this happens you increase the engine speed by pushing the accelerator pedal down, not too much ! at the same time you release the handbrake and come off the clutch pedal, you are now moving in 1st gear.As the speed increases to say, 10mph, press the clutch down and select 2nd, (left and back )as the speed continues to rise, go to third( forward and right )using the clutch as always.You use this sequence when changing gear everytime, never allow the car to coast in neutral or with the clutch depressed. Try practicing with the car stationary, engine off, go to 1st then second, etc etc. Practice makes perfect and extreme good luck to you

Exercise-induced severe sinus pain? Why?

I have recently started pumping up my cardio and afterward, for at least a day or so, I have severe sinus pain, drainage, headache and watery eyes. I used to have severe allergies, but I was given a series of shots over a period of 2 years from my allergist, which made me immune to most of the allergens I was allergic to. I KNOW that this recurrence is a result of the strenuous exercise. What can I do to prevent it from happening again, besides stopping exercising. I'm reluctant to see a Dr. because most of the doctors online seem to have no idea as to what the real issue is and therefore, don't know what to prescribe. My friend's cat, Bruce, is about a year old and neutered. Your first impression is of a very loveable, cuddly cat, as when you first arrive at the house, he walks right up to you, rubs against you, rolls around on the floor inviting you to pet him, walks across your lap, all kinds of lovey cat things. But the moment you wrap your arms around him or try to pick him up, he gets pissed. He growls and hisses, and if you try and pet him, he bites you. Then, you put him down, and he goes back to his lovey self. Neither my friend nor I can figure out why he does this. He started doing it out of nowhere when he was about six months old. She's taken him to the vet, who can find nothing wrong with him.

I got tryouts tommorow.... any tips?

Hello everyone. First of all, I am 5'9", 140 pounds and 13 years old. I've played basketball for 2 years in a recreational league and never really tried or cared, this year I found the pion for the sport of basketball and began to practice everyday. Since June 20th I have played basketball at lifetime fitness 3-6 hours everyday and practiced shooting, dribbling and games. I usually start with some dribbling drills, then an hour of shooting, then play 3 on 3, 5 on 5 or 21 with other people. I work my *** off everyday and suprisignly I don't get tired anymore because I'm used to it now. The reason I have been practicing so much is because I want to make a traveling team (it's close to AAU but just a bit lower level). There are 3 teams A team (best), B team (second best), and the C Team (worst of the three.) I honestly want to make B team because I feel that is my level although maybe I could make A and maybe C. I play with adults mostly and rarely kids my age and they tell me I'm a lights out shooter and that I've got good postmoves. Some of them say I have an amazing mid-range j. I am a big guy who can handle the ball pretty well (although that's an area I need to work on) and I am a great shooter who loves driving in the lane and using floaters, layups or bank shots. My vertical is 22 inches and I am a great blocker because I love to time the opponents shot. How can I make the team? How do I prove myself? I know there will be a few drills we need to do in order for the coaches and scouts to see how good we are. Theres the Mikan drill, dribbling full court with your right and back with your left, and dribbling between the legs then behind the back and so again. What are your thoughts on my determination? I truly am a good player now.

Unmountable boot volume toshiba?

This is a problem I've asked questions about before. I have an older toshiba satellite A205 that will not boot in any mode. Found out how to freeze the blue screen (by disabling auto reboot on system failure). And it says unmountable boot volume. I looked up online to find out how to fix this. The problem is I do not have an xp disk, or recovery disk. Is there any way I can get around this to back up an irreplaceable video before reformatting my hard drive? I recently bought a Tracfone for a friend who is in the hospital. I've never used a pay-as-you-go phone myself; I've always been with Verizon standard plans. What I don't understand about the minutes cards is that they say "400 minutes and 365 days of service" or "30 minutes and 30 days of service," etc. What do the "days of service" mean? Does that mean that the minutes expires in those amount of days? I know I've heard that most pay-as-you-go phones have the minutes expire if they aren't used or renewed in 15 to 30 days. Hello. I suffered from Dysmenorhea (Terrible Period Cramps) for years in High School to the point where I would cry and get very weak and pale and sometimes p out. One day I finally had to go to the Emergency Room and they put me on Birth Control. I started taking that and it's going to be my 2nd year of anniversary of taking that crap. For a long time I was taking Ortho tricyclen and that would make me vomit and p out as well. I finally started taking a new birth control that wouldn't make me sick but still occasionally would p out and wouldn't know why. I also have a big problem with gas. I have to be very careful with what I eat and take a lot of alka seltzer. The last time I ped out it wasn't just fainting. I had a seizure, and my parents say it was terrifying. I went to the emergency room and hey did a EKG and a CT scan and said everything was normal so I'm very confused. They say my muscles tensed up, my eyes were open and I had a face of horror and it looked like I wasn't breathing. I woke up after about a minute and was very pale. My whole body felt numb and took time to get my feeling back. I burped alot and had to use the bathroom and throw up as well. I am also worried because I don't know if the problem comes from my brain, my stomach, or my reproductive organs. I don't have insurance either and it costs alot to go to the doctor. Does anyone know what the problem might be? I've been healthy my whole life and have always been normal until I had that problem with period cramps.

Hello, I actually just moved my 180gallon (6x2x2) last month with the help of 3 other guys down one flight of stairs and it was definitely not as bad as I thought it was going to be. I would suggest getting yourself a roll of bubble wrap (unless it's already wrapped in the store) and shrink wrap to protect the gl. If you don't need to go down stairs then you shouldn't have a problem. I would get at least 4-5 guys to help you with the 8x2x2. Good luck

I am willing to compromise. You can raise the taxes on the rich as long as the 47% of the population that pays nothing starts kicking in their fair share as well. Im buying a set of colored pencils, and i do want the good quality ones but i dont have all the money to spend and I wont even be using them that often. I cant even use the crayolas...they are so bad for actually artwork thats not kids crafts. Theyre so waxy and hard and impossible to erase. I tried some prismas and theyre wonderful. I was also looking into prismacolors and polychromos but they are so expensive and for my purposes, if the artists loft ones are cheaper but still better than crayola and good quality and similar to those high end ones, i might just go with them.

Help....Attaching vessel sink to counter top?

I'm installing a vessel sink on top of a gl tile counter top and have an issue figuring out how to attach the drain since all the instructions I have are pretty much moot. Does the drain pipe screw into the vessel sink ONLY, leaving the vessel sink just sitting on top of the counter top with no real support or does the pipe screw into both the sink and counter top for support. It's hard to describe but maybe it'll be easier if I put it in order looking at the sink from top to bottom: grid drain, plumbers putty, sink, mounting ring, rubber gasket, lock nut(it all just slides into the counter top hole); or grid drain , plumbers putty, sink, mounting ring, counter top, rubber gasket, lock nut???????

Old bikes had very weak ignition coils and I'm sure yours is one. There's nothing wrong with points and I seriously doubt they are the real problem. With a 360 degree crankshaft, I imagine you have a single set of points and a single twin lead ignition coil and what you need is a twin lead 6 volt automotive coil but I'm not sure they make them. 12V yes, 6V??? If you have two sets of points two coils, then you have a 180 degree crank and putting on two larger coils will do the trick. Better coils will provide more powerful spark, easier starting, better running, longer plug life and better able to tolerate off spec fuel-air mixtures.

Alright, I'm a kid, 14 years old, and I'm not exactly the best looking kid. Well, you could try this - I bet it would make an interesting science project. Offhand, I would not expect this to be the case, though. The reason that soap works isn't so much that it kills the microbes; it's more that it makes it hard for them to 'hold on' and they get washed away by the water. I saw a horror movie and I'm scared to death?

I just saw the last exorcism with my bestfriend, now I'm at home and in a weird way I'm really scared. Please no rude comments, I honestly get scared very easily.
