What is this balcony thing called?

Okay, I'm writing a story and I can't think of what this thing is. It's like, when you go into a mansion or castle through the main big doors you go into the main room, and in front of you there is an awesome chandelier hanging from the ceiling (which is really high up) and there's two curved staircases made of carved stone that both lead up to some sort of landing or balcony, which is where the owner of the building is standing. What is this landing or balcony that this person is standing on called?
