Veronica Mars a good show?

so, personally i didnt really think this would be a good show, because i always just thought it was a kind of try hard pg-13 show if you get me. so i didnt really give it a shot, but am thinking about watching it, so just wondering, what everyone thinks about it? my top 5 shows are: true blood, supernatural, terminator:tscc, skins & dollhouse if that helps,, thanks.
